Parents have to buy an average of 6 different bikes for their children between the ages of 2 and 14 so that their child always has one in the right size. Unpredictable growth spurts often result in multiple bicycles going unused. Globally, there are an estimated tens of millions of unused children's bicycles collecting dust in sheds and garages. Regrettably, many people still opt for buying brand-new bikes instead of considering preloved options.

A circular economy is a sustainable production and consumption system designed to extend the lifecycle of products. As children grow from toddlers to age 14, their cycling needs evolve. Rather than purchasing a new bike at each stage and discarding the old, Grow Bike offers families the opportunity to rent and exchange the best preloved kids' bikes, allowing the bicycle to "grow" with your child. This approach leads to fewer new bikes being manufactured, prolongs the service life of used bikes, and minimizes waste. Additionally, it gives your children the choice between various bike types, from cross bikes to city bikes.
Reducing Emissions, One Bike at a Time
While there may not be a truly "growing" children's bike, Grow Bike allows you to swap your child's bike for a larger one at any time, effectively letting it "grow with them." Since our preloved children's bikes are reused by multiple children, fewer new bikes need to be manufactured. Over the course of its service life, each of our bikes saves approximately 336 kg of CO2 compared to a newly purchased bicycle. This carbon emissions reduction makes a significant impact on our collective carbon footprint. By making these small changes in our lives, we can contribute to a much larger positive environmental impact.
